Frequently Asked Questions

I need to change my daughter's running buddy, what should I do?

Leading up to the event, please email allison.ayan@girlsontherun.org to make a running buddy change. To make a change on race day please have the Running Buddy stop by the Runner Registration table to sign a waiver.

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most participants will fall between 35-45 minutes. We will have a sweeper on the course to make sure all participants have come through the finish line.

Can I run with a jogging stroller?

No. Due to the size of the event and the uneven course terrain we do not allow runners to run with strollers.

Is the 5k Timed

No. We have untimed non-competitive run where the focus is on the accomplishment of completing a 5k.

CAN IS SIGN UP TO RUN ON EVENT DAY?

Yes! Registration is available from 8:00 - 9:15 am. The event day fee is $30 for Adult Participants and $20 for Youth Participants and Running Buddies. Walkers welcome! Cash preferred.

I can not make the event, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we are unable to process any refunds. All registrations are non-refundable and nontransferable.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

CAN SOMEONE UNDER 16 BE A RUNNING BUDDY

No. The purpose of the running buddy is for both safety and encouragement. If someone under age 16 wants to run, they can register as a youth participant.

Volunteer Registration

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. Over 100 volunteers are needed to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.
